This series consists of instructive manuals to assist attorneys in filing statements with the Secretary under the original and revised Article 9, effective in 1967 and 1982 respectively, of the Uniform Commercial Code. Article 9 concerns transactions which create security interests in personal property or fixtures and certain sales of accounts or chattel paper. The manuals document the Secretary's role in "secured transactions," or business transactions involving credit.
